VIPER REXUS

Tuesday, 29.11.2019

Lately it has been quiet on our homepage. Nevertheless we were not inactive. The flight of RX23 went according to plan until the end of the microgravity phase. During the landing there was a malfunction of the main parachute and consequently an increased landing speed. Unfortunately, our experiment suffered partly heavy damages
during the landing, so that an investigation of the ice surface after the melting process was unfortunately not possible differently than planned. All measurement data transmitted to the ground station during the flight could be secured. In the meantime, the evaluation of the data has already achieved its first results.

We are pleased to announce our closing event on Friday, 29.11.2019! In this context we would like to thank our project partners, sponsors and participating students, as well as provide insight into the evaluation of the data.
